Things to bring and remember
Medical files
The more medical information we have at our disposal the better we can assess your situation and initiate immediate therapy. We therefore kindly ask you to bring with you the following medical files on your first visit to our hospital:
- Recent and previous letters from your physician
- Histological findings
- Written reports on examination results
- X-ray, CT, MRI, PET images (as slides or on CD-ROM)
- Co-operation record card (for emergencies; patients taking marcumar, diabetics or people suffering from allergies)
- Where possible, you should ask your physician to give you some of the tumour tissue from previous biopsies or operations
Medicines and Aids
- A list and a supply of the medicines you have to take regularly
- Aids you might need, eg a walking aid, wheelchair, stoma-care articles
Personal things
Please bring comfortable clothing that is appropriate to the weather and that opens and closes easily:
- Night clothing / pyjamas / underwear / socks
- Jogging or leisure suit
- Weatherproof shoes
- Slippers (closed, if possible)
- Change of clothes
- Dressing gown/bath robe (can be borrowed from us)
- Swimming things
Furthermore, please bring:
- Toiletries
- Reading material / reading glasses
- Writing paper/ pens
- Needlework, etc.
You can use a washing machine and a tumble dryer free of charge at our hospital, but we can also arrange for your laundry to be done by an external laundry service.
