by Airplane

Since Freiburg has not got an airport of its own, it is best to fly to Basle/Mulhouse or Frankfurt Rhein-Main Airport.

At Basle/Mulhouse airport you can take a taxi or rent a car and then drive to Freiburg. The journey takes 45 minutes. There is also a shuttlebus service between the Euro Airport Basle/Mulhouse and the Freiburg Main Station. The bus leaves eight times a day and the journey takes about 1 hour.

From Frankfurt Airport there is a direct train (Inter City Express) to Freiburg Main Station. The journey takes about 2 hours.

by Train

Freiburg is a destination on the Intercity Express (ICE) route from Basle to Frankfurt/Main. The ICE trains leave every hour and travel north, south, and east.

by Car

Leave the motorway A5 at the exit "Freiburg Sued" and continue on the B31, direction of "Freiburg". After roughly 2.5 km turn left, and follow the directions to Eugen-Keidel-Mineral-Thermalbad. The first entry on the right is the Cancer Hospital SanaFontis.
