VcR-Cap vs. R-CHOP
Phase III Study of the Combination of Rituximab, Cyclophos-phamide, Doxorubicin, VELCADE, and Prednison(VcR-CAP) or Rituximab, Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and Prednisone (R-CHOP) in Patients With Newly Diagnosed Mantle Cell Lymphoma who are not Eligible for a Bone Marrow Transplant.
Investigational product: VcR-CAP versus R-CHOP
Indication: mantle cell lymphoma
Study design: randomised, open-Label, multicenter
Important criteria:
Inclusion: One or more measurable lesions, no prior therapies for MCL, not eligible or not considered for bone marrow transplantation, ECOG status 0-2.
Exclusion: prior treatment with Velcade, specific laboratory ranges, major surgery within 2 weeks before randomization, another primary malignancy within the last 1 year except completely resected basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma of the skin or in situ malignancy, active systemic infection requiring treatment, serious medical or psychiatric illnes.
